2024 Race and Rally Expands to Four Days

Flush from the success of the 5th annual Caribbean Multihull Challenge Race and Rally, the Steering Committee for the CMC announces an increase of one-day more for racing and rallying for the 6th annual event to be held on the 1,2,3,4 of February 2024.  New records for 2023 are in the books – an 78% increase in entries from 18 in 2022 to 32 in 2024; plus the introduction of a successful CMC Cruising Rally are only two facets of the CMC’s amazing 2023 achievement.

Stephen Burzon, volunteer marketing and operations director for the CMC since its inception in 2019, becomes more convinced every year that the Caribbean’s only all-multihull regatta and rally will see entries continue to climb. Burzon says…..”as word gets out about the competition, the fun, the fellowship, the top-flight regatta management, and the adventure of multihull sailing in the warm waters of the Northeast Caribbean around the beautiful Dutch and French islands, we will grow our event in size and prestige.

For racers, the new four-day format will see a repeat of the three CSA 1 distance races on three separate days; plus one extra day for shorter racing along the south shore of Sint Maarten.  Other CSA racing classes will see more of the same line up of courses from 2023 with more racing added on the fourth day.  For cruising sailors, the extra day will allow for a day visit to the uninhabited French island of Tintemarre; with an overnight in Great Bay, then a Friday sail to the beauty of French side Anse Marcel, and for Saturday night, a welcoming stay in St. Barth’s; with a sail back to the SMYC in Simpson Bay on Sunday, the 4th. Please save the dates and expect to see the 6th CMC Race and Rally up on www.
YachtScoring.com shortly.  Entry fees will be posted there and the CMC is offering a 10% discount on entry for vessels that enter before 31 November 2023.
